Palmer’s Fuster Clucks Chicken Shack

This was one of the free kits from Fos Scale Models called “Top Notch Fried Chicken.” I changed the name to Palmer’s Fuster Clucks Chicken Shack. I named it after a good friend and MMR, Jeff Palmer. His MMR number is 620, the address next to the door.
I built the kit as designed but added a couple of small details. The base is from Monster Model Works and is their cracked concrete sheet. The light pole and trash can are from Woodland Scenics. The shutters are from Titchy. Most of the signs are from the kit, however I did make some of them on the computer and printed them with the color laser jet. It was a well designed kit, fun, fast, and easy to build.
The Grace Brothers Beer sign is a copy of the label from a bottle. Grace Brothers was our local brewery here in Santa Rosa and dates back to the 1890’s. I’m not sure when it closed, but I think it was in the 1970’s. I have a couple of old bottles that were dug out of Santa Rosa creek which still have the ceramic bottle stopper. No beer though.
